PTA were appointed by Dutch Group Volkerstevin to provide due diligence and value engineering advice to assist the structural design at Genista House, on the Rock of Gibraltar.
The prestige residential development of six-storeys was constructed by an integrate steel-frame of exceptional metal light-weight construction and spanned over historic subterranean tunnels beneath the famous Rock, which was once a mainstay of British military defence.
The lightweight structure, located in a seismic zone, required complex finite element analysis and natural frequency response calculations to model its harmonic performance as a quality residential development.
PTA’s involvement primarily was to assist in securing the stability of the structure.
