A £33m residential development in East Croydon providing 161 apartments, a communal roof garden and a gym.
The design and build contract comprised the construction of a 22-storey tower and a 9-storey plinth building which join together sharing the cores. During post tender negotiations, a number of value engineering options provided the client with a £2m saving to the tendered sum. These included an alternative piling solution and changes to the RC structure allowing more economical slab designs. Working closely with the contractor, the two cores were slip formed and precast columns and edge beams were used to reduce
the build program.
