A grade II listed building restored and converted with major structural works into 155 residential apartments with underground parking.
The engineering challenges included the balancing of old and new loadings from roof top extensions, the opening up of load bearing elements to create open plan living and building a single storey basement car park under the formal gardens and tight to the existing structure.
PTA provided direction in terms of feasibility generally with respect to the extensive nature of the temporary works that was required to make the structural alterations and therefore keep the project within budget.
Health and Safety was key and PTA provided method statements and drawings showing the sequence of construction showing indicatively temporary work solutions for considerations at tender stage.
